These items I am selling are from family pieces and decades collecting and even though I may not know the history of all the pieces, I do the best that I can to describe them as they are and as I see them, including any and all flaws. In spite of the flaws this is a lovely set of Vintage China and it could make a nice addition to any vintage collection. One of the more serious areas is along the rim of one of the smaller plates where aout 1.5" of the trim is scraped away and one plate has been glued the other areas are small chips or small spots of missing gold trim.I suspect that these areas could be dealt with. I tried to get a photo of all of the areas with problems, but you could hardly tell what you were looking at. Some of the pieces have some crazing from age and nearly all of the flaws are on the back side of the pieces and not very visible unless you look close. I have included photos of the most affected areas. There are some condition issues as a result of age and some use, but nothing too serious. Each piece is trimmed in gold and the field color of the pieces is a soft Ivory. This China has been in our family since the 1940s and from what I was able to find out about it, I believe it was made in 1943. I could not find the name of the pattern for these pieces but the decorationhas a lovely Blue pastel border with a soft Pink floral design. and inside of the basket logo "Semi Vitreous", this is also printed on the bottom of the bowl and in script lettering are the numers 1559 UG. Printed on the back of all but one of the dinner plates is: Edwin M Knowles China Co. SIX SMALL BOWLS, 5.5" across and 11.5" around.
